Week 03 - Exploration of Theme

BREIF:
  • Conduct in depth research of chosen Theme and providing a minimum of 2 sources.
  • Provide 3‐5 extra images of your chosen “Theme” with a paragraph explaining how they are relevant. (concentrate on aspects of aesthetics and geometry).
 WATER DEFORMATIONS

These formations are the result of surface tension inherent in most fluid substances. In these cases, specific frequencies of sound energise the particles within the droplets causing them to fluctuate and move outward. Surface tensions keeps the particles from braking free and the droplet to disintegrate.

This tensile property is again displayed in the following video. Here, water is suddenly released from high pressure in to low causing it to explode outward but again, its surface tension maintains its structural integrity until the energy imparted to the water exceeds that its threshold.

IMPLEMENTATION WITHIN A PARAMETRIC CONSTRUCT

Any design should display the dynamic between tensile elements against an outward pressure.
